Last month, the Spoilt Team was honored to be invited to Chef Lakshmi’s private kitchen for dinner! Lakshmi is one of our long-time gourmet partners, having been with Spoilt right from the start.
Lakshmi is an Ayurvedic nutritional therapist and holistic chef, specialising in cooking deliciously healthy meals.
That night, she prepared a fantastic five-course dinner for us, including Curry Cauliflower Spring Rolls, Organic Dhal Winter Salad with Pomegranates, Lemongrass Vegan Cashew Pumpkin Soup, Masala Fish with Chickpeas and a Vanilla Coconut Cardamom Cake for dessert. All the dishes were so tasty, even the meat-only eaters on the team left their plate clean! Throughout dinner, Lakshmi would explain how she chose the ingredients for each dish, why they work so well together and what effect they have on your body. It was fascinating and made us think about how to cook not only for the body, but the soul. We couldn’t have asked for a better time!
